Driver CPC in Motherwell: £60 a Day or £300 for the Week (Commencing 19 November)

1. Get your Driver CPC training sorted in Motherwell

Need to complete Driver CPC training without letting it drag on in the background? Our Driver CPC course in Motherwell runs during the week commencing 19 November 2026, with sessions starting at 8am each day.

The price is £60 per day or £300 for the whole week. You can book individual days or choose the full-week option and get your training done together, subject to confirming that the course sessions match your Driver CPC route and outstanding hours.

You’ll train at Open Road Training Ltd, 29 Hope Street, Motherwell, ML1 1BS, conveniently located opposite Motherwell train station. That makes this Driver CPC Scotland option easy to reach by public transport as well as by road.

2. Driver CPC prices: clear and upfront

The advertised prices are straightforward:

Booking option Price
Per day £60
Whole week £300

Booking the full week means one simple booking, one block of training and the whole job off your list. If you only need certain days, the per-day rate is there for that.

For a professional driver, that is a welcome feeling. Your training is sorted, your hours are recorded, and your calendar can get back to the important business of finding somewhere decent to park.

3. What is Driver CPC, and how many hours do you need?

Driver CPC is the periodic training required for professional lorry, bus and coach drivers. If you drive professionally, you must complete 35 hours of periodic Driver CPC training every five years to keep your Driver CPC.

Training is normally delivered in 7-hour blocks. You can complete the 35 hours over a concentrated week or spread them across the five-year period. A focused week can suit you if you would rather get your hours dealt with together instead of fitting training around work over several months.

Before booking, check how many hours you have already completed. Use the official Driver CPC training guidance and the GOV.UK Driver CPC periodic training hours checker.

4. National or International Driver CPC: check before you book

Since December 2024, drivers must choose between the National and International Driver CPC route. The right one depends on where you drive professionally, and the routes have different rules about course and session lengths.

4.1 If you drive professionally in the UK and Europe

You need 35 hours of International Driver CPC training. International courses must meet the required session-length rules. If you split an International course into two sessions, they must be completed on consecutive days.

4.2 If you drive professionally in the UK only

You can complete National training, or a permitted mix of National and International training. National sessions can be shorter than International sessions, but they must still meet the minimum length that applies to the course.

The important point is that a session that is too short, or training on the wrong route for your work, may not count towards the hours you need. Don’t rely on guesswork (there are already enough surprises in transport). Confirm your route, eligibility and remaining hours before you book. If you need to drive professionally in Europe, GOV.UK says you must complete International training only.

5. Who is this Driver CPC course for?

This Driver CPC Motherwell course is suitable for LGV and PCV drivers. It can work well if you are:

  • An individual driver looking to complete outstanding periodic training.
  • An LGV driver who wants a planned block of Driver CPC training.
  • A PCV driver who needs to keep your training up to date.
  • An employer arranging training for a team.

Employers can ask us about group bookings. Booking training for several drivers together can make planning simpler and help your team get time set aside for learning.

A Driver CPC course should be relevant to the work you do, not just another date in your diary. If you are uncertain whether this course is suitable for your route or record, speak to us before booking. We’ll help you check what you need to confirm.

6. How to prepare for the training day

Each day starts at 8am at our Motherwell centre. Check your booking confirmation before you travel for any arrival instructions or details about what to bring. It is also sensible to check your Driver CPC record in advance so you know how many hours you still need.

The training is delivered in a classroom setting. You do not need to plan your own timetable or turn up with a traffic manual under each arm. Just make sure you have confirmed your place, know which Driver CPC route applies to you, and allow time to arrive before the start.

The full-week option is designed for drivers and employers who want to focus on training in one block. Whether you choose individual days or the whole week, make sure the course and sessions fit your requirements before you commit.
