Course overview

Handle hazardous materials with confidence. Our ADR training covers the full range of dangerous goods driver qualifications, from your first certificate through to refreshers and additional classes.

Choose the route that fits where you are: Initial (full ADR), Refresher (full ADR), additional classes, additional tanks, classes and tanks together, or additional explosives. Driver CPC hours can be added to any booking, from one to four days.

What's covered

  • Core — the foundation every ADR driver needs
  • Packages — carrying dangerous goods in packaged form
  • Tanks — the tank endorsement for bulk carriage
  • Classes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9 — gases, flammables, oxidising agents, toxics, corrosives and miscellaneous
  • Class 1 — explosives, available as an additional day
  • ADR Awareness for staff who handle dangerous goods without driving them

Your ADR card

Once you've passed, your ADR card is issued through Qualifications Scotland and the DVSA, and normally arrives within about a week.
